I'm an 0L starting an internship at a law firm this week. Should I wear a suit or is business casual fine? Thanks

Just wear a suit the first day, take off the jacket if overdressed. Or, you know, ask someone at the firm.

Typically, only attorneys wear suits on a regular basis. However, that completely depends on the size and nature of the firm you're interning at. I would recommend wearing, at bare minimum, slacks, dress shoes, pressed shirt, and a tie. Though, I would probably recommend a suit to be safe. If you get there, and see other interns, paralegals, legal secretaries, etc. that are more casually dressed, you can just adjust on the second day. It won't hurt to overdress then dress down later whereas I can't guarantee the same for the other way around.

Best of luck and enjoy your internship.

always wear a suit--you can take the jacket off it you find yourself overdressed, like one of the above posters said.

Thanks for the advise, I'll wear a suit the first day. Should I shave?

If you have a full beard, make sure it's neatly groomed. If you just have some stubble, shave it for the first day and, like other posters have said, gauge your general appearance going forward on what other people at the firm do
