Would greatly appreciate any information you may have as to the "typical" 401K match (in absolute dollars) that a first year associate (making $160,000 a year) could expect to receive, assuming a maximum contribution.

Any insights greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

$0. The vast majority of biglaw firms do not match.

There are firms with 3% match. So that's $4,800 for a first year, $5,100 for a second year, $5,500-5,700 for a third year, ect. Generally you should expect $0 matching contribution.

Unless they're not yet in law school, in which case this is the right place to ask.
