How many hours a day does the average law student spend studying? Or doing course work. Also a week.

Outside of the classroom, 1-2 hours a day. It is still early in 1L year though, I imagine that number changes.

I mean it def depends on relative weight placed on snaps, drinking, TLSing and fbing but I would put it at 3 for sure as a baseline.

For Me It Was:
1L: 4-5 per day.
2L: .5 per day
3L: 0 but I crammed for finals.
1L is the only year your grades really matter (if you are going for big law that is).

Other than spending the half hour before every class skimming the reading assignment, none.

Here, I would honestly say 4-6 a day. It's a lot. Probably really unnecessary but the fear of cold calls and peer pressure make you do dumb shit.

There's like 5 confusing concepts total 1L. Everything beyond that is simple. Practicing for exams is the only worthwhile way to spend time.

I'm not a law student, but I know one. Straight A's at the University of Texas at Austin.
He was studying 12-13 hours a day, sometimes more. I saw him all the time glued to textbooks.

That just seems absurd.
OP, I normally spend 3-4 hours a day reading/studying/reading supplements right now, probably more as finals approach.

For me, it was Res Ipsa, Dormant Commerce Clause, Consideration, Supplemental Jurisdiction, and Erie.

1L here. I probably do an average of 3.5 a day 7 days a week in addition to class. I don't think it's overly bad other than when LRW comes along and makes you vacillate between "fucka P/F class" and "must do best" on some long written assignment

To me, Res Ipsa sort of just speaks for itself.

Some spend a lot of time studying, some don't.

Studied 1-2 hours a week first year in addition to going to class. Studied 1-2 hours a week the last three weeks of the semester for the 2nd and 3rd year.
Get a friend on law review and get the good outlines. Some nerd gunning for a clerkship studied plenty for everyone a decade ago.

180.
Did anyone else have to learn UCC 2-207? According to Wikipedia, Grant Gilmore called it "arguably the greatest statutory mess of all time." Definitely in my top 5 worst 1L topics.

Varies pretty drastically...I'm [unfortunately] one of those kids who puts in ~6 hours a day for his own sanity (sounds counterintuitive I know)
But I know kids who just skim the cases and take most of their notes during class.

We were pretty close. I was probably 6-7 in 1L, but yeah, it really fell off in 2L (maybe 2H) and 3L was as close to 0 as I could get.

Like on regular basis? Umm I guess I can at least give more than one hour but I general don't do that. You can spend good amount of time for studying during weekends because weekdays are quite hectic.
