Do the editions matter with the E & E books? Forum

I am looking at a couple E & E books that are an edition behind the latests edition. Does that matter so much or is a lot of the material similar?

Depends on the subject. Contracts / Torts / Property no. Con Law, Securities Laws, yes. Evidence, Criminal law, probably not.

Agree with the above post about Ks, Torts, and Property. I don't think the Con Law one is useful and I would not buy the Criminal Law one either (just buy Dressler for that class unless it is taught kind of weird, that book is gold for Crim despite not having practice questions)

The CivPro book should be up to date.

Anything related to securities law that is pre-Dodd-Frank/JOBS Act is useless.

I would try to go for new editions in the non-1L classes.

I agree that civ pro should be up to date, and I'd also get the newest edition for evidence. I got an older one when I took it, and it left out a lot of important information that was in the most recent one. Basically, I'd get the new one for any subject that goes over a lot of con law.
