HYSCCN > Capital Markets work for a big NYC firm > transfer to Berlin office and do cap markets for foreign investors. If you want to do work abroad, capital markets work is your fastest road there.

For instance, a number of big firms are actually recruiting directly for summer associates to go to foreign offices to do that work
