Im an EE and will be attending law school Part-Time this Fall. I work as an examiner at the USPTO (they will be paying for law school) but I'd like to do biglaw lit.
What should I do now or during my 1st year to help me on my path to IP Lit. Externships? USPTO details? Work at a firm during summers? Leave the PTO and go to a firm?
Now that you're in, or have graduated, law school what would you have done differently?
I am already aware grades are very important.
Additionally, I will be going to law school in DC but would like to end up in LA... I'd appreciate any advice on making that happen.
What would you have done differently(IP/EE and PT specific)? Forum

Get good grades in law school. Go to the patent fair (dont forget its super early deadline to register) and bid on LA firms. Profit.
You are fine, EE is still #IPSecured. Dont worry too much and just focus on getting good grades.
