No. I'm a rare bird that never tried to sell myself. I was never competitive and it drove the law school nuts. I was always self-centered, I motivated me. They couldn't figure me out. I never wanted to be the "star", I never wanted all these accolades and fawning and other circle jerking bullshit that means little in practicality and much to the ego. I realize if I'd wanted biglaw or something other, my attitude would have sunk me.
