Are you just hunting for arbitrary things to judge people about? Who gives a shit if someone excitedly shares with their friends a life-changing piece of information. It beats relationship status updates anyway.diet double dew wrote:I kinda judge people for updating facebook before actually moving in/attending a single class. Who's with me?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone does this at your school?jbagelboy wrote:people generally find it aspie when you make FB status' during school about 1) grades or GPA, and 2) job search & OCI (unless it's updating your profile once you've started a new position).
It's very rare, but it has happenedRahviveh wrote:Just out of curiosity, has anyone does this at your school?jbagelboy wrote:people generally find it aspie when you make FB status' during school about 1) grades or GPA, and 2) job search & OCI (unless it's updating your profile once you've started a new position).
jbagelboy wrote:updating facebook with school attending is pretty tame bro. updating with every acceptance is just immature, but letting people know where you'll spend the next three years is reasonable. choosing to attend a law school is a pretty significant life event.
I've never seen anyone post about law school grades. Thank God, because I do sometimes see people do this for undergrad / other grad school programs and it really irks me.jbagelboy wrote:It's very rare, but it has happenedRahviveh wrote:Just out of curiosity, has anyone does this at your school?jbagelboy wrote:people generally find it aspie when you make FB status' during school about 1) grades or GPA, and 2) job search & OCI (unless it's updating your profile once you've started a new position).
Saw a bro from undergrad thank his family on facebook for always being there for him, which he subtly followed with "I couldn't have made order of the coif with out you." I'm not even in law school yet and I rolled my eyes.despina wrote:I've never seen anyone post about law school grades. I've seen people post during the year once they accept a summer job / internship, which seems totally legit ("So excited to be back in LA this summer!" or "I've accepted a summer internship at the Public Defenders of X City.") Or I've seen posts during OCI for things like "I'm going to NYC this week for interviews, any of my NYC friends free for dinner Tuesday night?" but not "OMG I GOT SEVEN CALLBACKS WOOO!"
Oh my god, undergrads bragging about "rocked a 3.4 this semester!!! WOOO!!!!"despina wrote:I've never seen anyone post about law school grades. Dude, you're a non-hard-sciences major at an average state school; this is not an achievement.
He will almost certain become either a cardiac surgeon or a dermatologist, with that attitude.jbagelboy wrote:lol @ posting online about a 3.4ymmv wrote:Oh my god, undergrads bragging about "rocked a 3.4 this semester!!! there was this one kid who would write, "back in the land of 4's and 0's!!" every semester he would get perfect grades. I think he went to medical school after college.
I updated mine a few days ago idk it seemed less douchey than posting an entire status about it fishing for likesDELG wrote:Idk I find it weird that someone would update school many months before they're actually enrolled.
I intend to post a status about it soon because I have three million family members and they all keep asking where I'm going. I'm not trying to be a douche, but I'll probably come off as one.anyriotgirl wrote:I updated mine a few days ago idk it seemed less douchey than posting an entire status about it fishing for likesDELG wrote:Idk I find it weird that someone would update school many months before they're actually enrolled.
I mean whatever. I don't think it makes you a douche. I just think it's a little weird to post that you're attending a certain school when you mean you're going to attend it eventually.Brettanomyces wrote:I intend to post a status about it soon because I have three million family members and they all keep asking where I'm going.
