Will paralegal experience help at OCI?

Post by stugots » Wed May 21, 2014 2:05 pm

I've seen it said here that having work experience can help at OCI. But I've also heard that paralegal experience is not really considered prestigious. So: no help? Some help? Does it largely depend on what kind of work you did or how you can spin it?

Disclaimer: I'm a paralegal starting law school this year. While most of my daily work is definitely grunt work, I've gotten some trial experience, attended depositions, written first drafts of motions, and conducted some (admittedly basic) legal research.

I should think it would help not so much as a résumé item but help you speak intelligently about what you want and why (so, interview better)
