Possible scholarship boost after 1L?

Hey guys I've done a bit of digging on this topic and can't really find a lot on it. I would love to hear some input from people who have negotiated an increase in their scholarship after their 1L year, or have at least heard of someone who has successfully done this. I'm just wondering how common of a practice this is in the T14 schools, and how generous the increases could be.. I've read that you can apply for a transfer and use transfer acceptances as leverage, but this could also be at the expense of your relationship with the current school.. Could completing your 1L year in the top 10% of your class be enough leverage?

Any input would be much appreciated!

You wouldn't be the first to do this, but yeah, you need to kill 1L. And having a transfer acceptance in hand could help.

Thanks for the input! I've heard of it happening before, especially if you have a HSYC transfer acceptance and you are currently a 1L at the lower end of the T14, but even at that it seems like a risky move to try to leverage an increase in your scholly at the expense of burning some bridges with your current school.

You won't burn bridges. It's business. They understand.
