Top Law Schools

I'm about to start law school and this will be the first real time I'll be doing something without my parents financial support, whatsoever. I had a generous scholarship for undergrad and my parents helped pay for the food, clothes, etc. etc. I know how to budget and all the rest of it, but how do you all deal with living off of minuscule loan money while trying to trudge your way through law school?

Make an accurate budget. If you aren't factoring in 100 dollars a week for random dinners / drinks with buddies, you probably aren't being accurate.

The big problem is summer expenses. Loans don't cover it.

Figuring out my grocery budget is stressing me out. I think I'm just going to crock pot everything.

don't underestimate how often you will find yourself buying food instead of preparing it yourself due to lack of time

It's not lack of time, it's pure laziness. Law students have all the time in teh world.

Crock Pot is TCR. I spend more $$ on booze than the average student (which is probably a bad thing), so I cut my food budget down drastically by never eating out. Making large portions in the crockpot and having leftovers for a few days is the way to go.

I seriously don't know if I'm ever going to get a girlfriend being this poor. It's depressing.
