At UF there is usually at least one organization having some sort of meeting or event that has free food every day. If you're cool with pizza / publix subs everyday, you'll be fine.

When I move to NC I am going to be so lonely without Publix subs.

Usually each week belongs to a club, so they have events and have free food, some have an event 4 or 5 days a week but pretty often they will only do 3 events a week, and now the school made a policy that clubs cannot have events on Wednesday since that is reserved for school events (that often do not have food or serve Connie's).
When there is food it's usually good (except Connie's), lots of Chipotle, Potbelly's, Gino's East, Flaco's Tacos, Empanadas...
No food > Connie's. Seriously, admits, listen to Micdiddy: tell this school that you won't stand for any more Connie's.
Really? I kind of like Connie's meatball & pepperoni pizzas.

Food's pretty much 3-4 days a week; most Wednesdays have food as well. During 1L, I shaved down food costs to sub-$100/month (until finals, that is). There are lots of firm happy hour / dinner events if you check the careers calendar. I attended most of those, but as a 1L things got a bit time crunched.

Mcdiddy's right though -- Chipotle, Potbelly's, Gino's East, Flaco's Tacos, Empanadas. I'd add brisket BBQ, M Burger, sometimes Wow Bao, and other catered Asian cuisine.

Publix is spreading to NC fyi. I believe they opened their first store in NC (Charlotte area) in February.

This website is incredible. I'm legitimately thinking about asking the guy who put this together to share some of his code so even those outside of Cambridge can benefit from his work. Waow.

I have no shame anymore. Our cafe blows, and as the year progresses I've become lazier and lazier with regard to going somewhere else like the business school or to the food trucks.

I'm fine with being a vulture every day at 12:15ish. Getting some good pickings literally makes my day mang.

I would usually walk in at the beginning, make a plate, and walk right out of a lunch meeting. Our tuition funds the groups so everyone technically paid for it, and I don't usually feel like listening to some shitty speech for an hour or so

I like the boring lunch meetings because you can read for your next class without shame and enjoy the free food. The "high profile" ones like Federal judges and popular authors are the worst because the room is usually full of gunners that will glare at you if you crunch too loudly or break out a casebook.

The after-meeting food dump is the best, though, but usually all the food is gone in less than five minutes.

At NYU, you can get free lunch and dinner most nights of the week. Plenty of pizza, but a lot of Thai food, too, which is nice.

As a 3L I literally walk in and grab the food and then walk back out with my head held high.

I give none.

So for those of us that are allergic to pizza, are we screwed out of this whole free food thing? And, obviously I'm asking about washu specifically :p

Free food every day almost makes the exorbitant tuition seem more ok. My favorite recently was the mad scrum to scavenge Thai food before makeup Ks on Friday - like ten people walked in five minutes late with a plate full of food. Zero fucks given all around.

The whole pizza everyday thing is not true here, too. Though I'd probably be ok with it since deep dish > all.

There is a lot of pizza. I would say probably like half the lunch club shit is pizza and the other half is burritos, bbq, sandwiches, wtv.
As long as it's not always pizza I'm happy. I mean plus, Friday happy hour every week right?
