What other jobs did you hold full time?

I was reading the "what do you think you will do as a lawyer (question for 0L)" and I was struck by how much better the description of the job was than the impression that law grads give on this forum of actually being a lawyer. Like you guys make it sound like hell but the "terrible" examples of a normal task in that thread were just typical office bullshit. Not that bad. So I'm basically wondering what full time job experience before your lawyer lives you guys have and how you feel about being a lawyer now.

Thanks.

It's pretty funny. 0Ls come in and say this all the time. Yet, lawyers, even those who have worked in demanding fields such as finance or consulting (e.g., Needanexit) consistently state otherwise. Moreover, studies have shown time and time again that the unhappiest job in America is associate attorney and that the unhappiest job in the legal profession is junior attorney. But you, 0L, must know so much better. It surely is that all these lawyers, people who were at the top of their class during college, worked hard and smart for 3 years in law school and graduated high enough in their class to secure a big law firm job, are just whiners or that they don't know how to work hard.
