Is Stanford Law School enough of a tie for Bay Area Firms?

I have no connections to the bay area other than that, but I'd love to stay in the area. I have an opportunity to defer my SLS admission for a year and work at my current company's Silicon Valley office as well. I'm not sure if I want to do this because they're notorious for having absolutely terrible hours (literally 100 hours a week) - would this be necessary to demonstrate a desire to work in the area or does going to school there for three years cut it? Thanks

People are going to yell at you for posting as an 0L. But I think going to Stanford will be enough.

Honestly no idea how you got into Stanford and ask such silly questions. Book smart much? Go to school, you will get a job in any part of the country after Stanford, let alone any place in Cali...

Rad is right - 0Ls are not allowed to post in the legal employment forum. I've moved this, but please read the rules stickied at the top of each forum. That also means you're not allowed to post anonymously.
