Hey,

I was curious if there were any posters who know or are pursuing a JD/PhD with the intention of becoming a legal academic. Was curious if you could provide any resources, advice, pointers on what you would do differently. Thanks!

1. Go to HYS for the JD.
2. Become friendly with faculty at the school in the subject that you want to write in.
3. Write 1-2 full papers while in law school.
4. Clerk at a circuit if you can.
5. Do the PhD in something relevant to law (econ, philosophy, history, poli sci, etc).

Happy to answer any specific questions.
