Top Law Schools

I am attending UG in my hometown. I am not sure what I should take with me when I move away for law school. What did you take that was helpful? Or what do you wish you would have taken?

Edited to add: I am moving 2 hours away. I found a 1 bedroom apartment I will live in for all 3 years. The apartment is super close to campus, 3-5 minutes walking.

I just had no idea the brightness was the "Open 24hrs" sign on the McDonalds drive-thru I'll be working at.

Actually, just heart, miles and miles of heart.

Given that I moved into a new place 1L, 2L, and intend to move again 3L, I would recommend not having more than absolutely necessary. Packing up and moving is such a hassle.

But that being said, things I regret not having here include a blender and more shoes and handbags. You think you can get by on just a few bags, but it just means you'll end up shopping and buying more new ones if you leave all your old accessories at home.

But if you're going to law school in your hometown, does it really matter? As soon as you realize you're missing something that you really need, you can just go home for the weekend or dinner or whatever and pick it up.

I'm a 0L but I've done a decent bit of moving myself thus far.
I would recommend the bare essentials of everything as listed above. if you are going farther away it could be more and more beneficial to buy stuff there that you don't necessarily need to bring from home. This would include a lot of cooking things, furniture, alcohol, etc.

Bro I don't know. Think about what you use every day now and then bring that. Law school is not resource intensive.

To be honest, since you're living so close to home, just bring seasonal attires + business attires, your bookbag, and laptop.

Is the apartment furnished? If not, see if your parents have any spare/basement furniture you can bring. Else, you can find something near the school I'm sure.
