TTT (Soon-to-be) Grad Taking Questions

Sup.
Graduating from a TTT in a month, and I thought I'd do my part to pay it forward if anyone's interested. I've read TLS pretty much from day one of ls (though I unfortunately didn't find it until day one of ls). The better schools get a lot of dap on this board (and for very good reasons), but if there are any 0L's out there who are still considering a TTT and who want to ask anything at all, fire away.

Amazingly, yes.
Non-law related (fine by me), got it through a friend (i.e., thanks career services!).
I'm in a very, very small minority.

1L: firm, unpaid
2L: school year and summer I worked at a P-side firm, paid, awesome experience, but not my cup of tea.
Again, non-law related job starting this summer.

That range isn't too helpful. If the number is closer to $50, I would say LS was a waste of time. If the number is a lot closer to $75, I would say you made out like a bandit and will be doing well financially in the future.

Sorry it was so unhelpful.

I would say I'm VERY lucky to be in the position I'm in. I don't know that I can say with 100% certainty that LS was a complete and total waste, but I definitely lean that way.
BTW, this is not going to be a thread where I encourage everyone and their mother to drop everything and rush to LS simply because I got lucky. Just the opposite actually. Like I said, I've read TLS for the past 2.5 years. I know what's going on.
Carry on.

I don't have percentages or anything for you - sorry.
What I can say is that my school did not fare well in the recent USNWR rankings and that career services has been bombarding 3L's with "meet the employers" type things all semester long. Morale is low to say the least. It's very fair to say that the majority of my classmates do not currently have jobs lined up for after graduation (career services has said as such).
Also, if this helps, I did OCI during 2L. I was top 25% and had two screeners. Two. The majority of firms that came wanted nothing less than top 10% with a journal. The best firms wouldn't go lower than top 5%.
I know that lots of my classmates work during the year, and I'm sure some of them will be able to catch on with current/former employers after the bar. But as far as V100 or NLJ-type firms, it just doesn't happen without the best grades.

Could you have gotten this "50k-75k" job without going to law school? What industry is it in?

Banking / finance.
It's hard to say honestly. It had way more to do with timing than anything else, but I also focused almost exclusively on business-type courses (tax, bankruptcy, secured, real estate, etc.), and I know that that was appreciated, and it will certainly help to have a lot of those courses as a foundation. So I fall into that murky "JD helpful/preferred" area where it can pretty much go either way.
