Where do all the Yalies go?

As has been pointed out many times on this board, Yale's biglaw statistics are significantly lower than those of HLS, SLS and Columbia. I know Yale sends a disproportionate amount of students into academia, but does that explain the difference? I'm just curious what these high-level non-biglaw outcomes are that are available to Yalies but few people else.

Conventional wisdom says clerkships==>academia.
I have no data on hand to support that though.

That's not what conventional wisdom says. Yale doesn't send
that many students into academia. But it does send lots of people into government and public interest jobs in addition to biglaw.
