If your law school offered to pay off all your outstanding law school loans on condition that you withdraw, would you do it?

Couldn't we just ask the direct question - how much do you regret law school?

Yes, but only if it came with a time machine and let me get the past 1.5 years of my life back. Also a memory-eraser to erase the past 1.5 years.

You guys are forgetting to post the most relevant piece of information: What school or at least range you attend. This thread has potential.

If I were paying sticker anywhere outside of HYS, yeah. With a 1/3-1/2 scholarship at a T14, I'd still consider it.

Pretty sure this is a hypothetical situation created to pose the question "If you could get out of law school right now, thus losing the time and effort you put into law school, but absolving the debt you've accumulated, would you do it?"
Schools wouldn't do this, the question is essentially asking if you regret going to law school.

If I could figure out how to explain a 2.5 year law school gap to non-legal employers, I might. I'd want to look at non-legal jobs before I pull the trigger though. UCLA/Vandy/Tex/USC school, scholarship in the $70,000 range.

I hope you come back in 5 years and either re-iterate this opinion or redact it.

Lower T14, V15 SA this summer, and I would probably take it. I'm not sure all this is worth it, frankly.

No. I still want to be a lawyer, so a JD will come in handy for that.

Law school is one of the best decisions I ever made. I don't want my 2.5 years "back" because my life wasn't on pause in the meantime.

If you were an 0L, already accepted ED, what would you do with the next 8 months to make sure you didn't have any potential regrets come mid law school?

I'd strongly consider it.

After a semester of law school, I can't really think that doing a lot of 0L prep would have really changed things (though maybe my opinion will change after I see my grades haha). Just make sure you're ready to go from day 1 of classes (in terms of everything you can think of...) and don't fall behind.
