Here is my situation. Already accepted to T14 (deferred from last cycle). GPA around 3.3 and LSAT around 172. No scholarship was given to me when I was accepted. Hypothetically speaking, if I could get above a 175 on the December test, do I have any chance of receiving money from my school? I know they have no incentive to give me any because I'm already going, but maybe just so that they could boost their numbers?

Please, nice comments. This just dawned on me this week. I'm not hopeful, just curious.

I'd call it doubtful. At 172 you are likely already above their median unless you are deferred at Columbia in which case they are stingy anyway and you are lucky to have gotten in. Getting to your school's 75th doesn't really do much for them as it has zero relevance to USNWR. That being said, absolutely ask. They won't pull your admission offer for doing so, you have nothing to lose.

Also, if you are in at a lower T14 and are interested in upgrading to CCN, a 175+ could make a difference.

I got into Chicago in 2011 with no scholarship, deposited there, and retook during the summer in attempt to get off wait list for HYS. I ended up canceling the score and deciding to take it a third time and reapply the next cycle. When I emailed the Chicago admissions office, they offered to "scrape up some scholarship money" to get me to stay. It was late August by that point so my guess was they were not going to be able to find a replacement for me by then.
