I really think from this point forward ksllaw's posts should be ignored because of the following:
Swimp wrote:they were more about how many threads ksllaw has started recently, and how often he/she appears to have done no research at all before starting them.

With that said, probably the right course of action is to ignore them rather than to lash out.

I'm interested in this question as well. I hear people talk about ties and wonder if they're talking about familial ties, or professional (I take it, legal?) ties to a region. For example, I have all sorts of ties to Phoenix, but only a few are attorneys...

Regardless, I'll just go search the TLS library for some answers...

EDIT: This thread pops up first in search... how helpful! Now, all those little searchers navigating TLS will find their answer.
I don't think the initial responses to this thread were really about this thread. I think they were more about how many threads ksllaw has started recently, and how often he/she appears to have done no research at all before starting them.

I was far less bitchy the first 10 times he said he'd stop starting new threads for shit he could find otherwise.

The best part about it is that in the amount of time he spends writing paragraphs-long, asinine responses, he could have done all the research he really needed to do.

Don't worry. I understand why people might be mad. :) I did start too many threads before. And IAFG is right. I did say I'd use the SEARCH function in the future before starting a new one. And I actually didn't use it before starting this one. I see why you guys might be upset. I would probably find it annoying too to see repeated topics over and over by the same person, who appeared to do no research on them and just fired away. :( Definitely don't blame anyone.

I'll maybe say one final thing later on after I eat dinner and get my work done. It was just maybe a perspective of how ~possibly~ starting a new thread that's a repeat topic might be helpful in some instances (for a variety of reasons). But that doesn't mean I was not wrong in this case and in the past as well. And, I apologize for that. I'm glad you guys confronted me, because sometimes I can get overly excited (as IAFG said starting a thread with whatever pops into my mind lol :!: ) and fire away selfishly with my questions not realizing or caring what a nuissance it may be causing. There's no excuse. I apologize.

I'm not saying it's a good thing, but being a dick about a TC not using search isn't unique to TLS; this is normal forum behavior since the dawn of the internet. Or at least since the beginning of search functions I suppose.

The problem isn't that OP started a thread without searching, it's that OP has started like 40 threads without searching, it does get a bit obnoxious. And while I agree that sometimes a new thread on an old topic can be helpful, topics like 'ties' and the legal market have been discussed ad nauseum on this forum and don't really need to be rehashed again.

Is there any precedent for a TLS restraining order, or will this be a first?
