How does one go about that? Are there particular courses / internships one needs to pursue?

Thanks

The most important thing is to go to HYS. Barring that you need to land in the top 10 percent of a non HYS top 14 or top 5 percent at a school outside of that.

HYS (try to do DOJ SLIP in the summer) -> article III clerkship -> compete for DOJ honors spots for the civil division in the single digits.

Federal hiring freeze bro.
