I will be away from my hometown team market for 1L here in the fall. Anyone have any advice on if the Centre Ice package or any of the NHL packages are worth it during 1L? I'm thinking of starting to work on asking it for a gift and I don't know if I will have enough time to watch it.

I got gamecenter because I didn't have cable, I thought it was worth it. But that depends on how much you're willing to pay to watch hockey, not really a question anyone else can answer. You'll have time to watch games unless you have horrible study habits and spend 20 hours a day at school

Just get it. And get DVR. The combination of the two will be A+. If you are a hockey fan, you will end up watching 80% of the games. I had this decision 1L year and I ended up justifying CenterIce based on a birthday present ... and ended up getting it all 3 years. Don't stifle a passion for BS. Do what you enjoy.

Doesn't the online version have free Dvr features?
