Confirmed c/o 2013 OCI numbers

Do we have confirmation of these? Maybe I suck at using the search function, but I wasn't able to find a compiled list. Seems prudent to highlight these in the face of the doom/gloom created by the ABA 2011 survey, since they're way more relevant. If anyone has a link to this, throw it on here. If not, could rising 2L's post w/e their career service officers divulged about last year's OCI?

bump for a plea to just provide the link if this question is trivial

I've heard that CLS placed ~85% at OCI and NYU placed closer to 80%. Would love for current students to weigh in or confirm this. Would be really helpful to 0/1Ls.

Anyone have any idea about Chicago?

^ And just bumping for this request in general.

I believe both NYU and CLS were roughly 80% of participants with an offer. IIRC they were within 1-2%. I also think the percentage of people not participating was slightly higher at NYU, maybe 10% versus 5%, something like that? Less sure on those numbers.

Someone tallied up Chicago's 2L summer: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 3&t=187451

Off the top of my head, CLS was: 92% participated, 85% received an offer.

Here is the link for the CLS data http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5#p5448112

Doesn't look like anyone broke down the NYU data, but here's one post about it: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 0#p5453243

Every school reports OCI data differently. I've never seen broken down data for Michigan, among others.

For reference.

Columbia-
V10-23%
Big law-73.5%

Chicago-
V10-21.4%
V100-68.8%
NLJ250-77.2%

USC-
40%

So I'm guessing NYU doesn't break down employment stats in this way? Would be really helpful to see how participants in this most recent EIW did (and hopefully encouraging after looking at the latest available c/o 2011 NALP/NLJ placement #s....)

Would be really helpful to see how participants in this most recent EIW did (and hopefully encouraging after looking at the latest available c/o 2011 NALP/NLJ placement #s which said NYU put only 40% into big firms....)

I've seen the data from NYU in the past. Just looks like no one has cared to put anything together.

Seems like the T5+Penn really had their pick while the lower T14 did better but not great while most of the T1s are still in a slump.

Blatant anti-NYU trolling.

NYU did fine. If you're going there in the fall and you're worried, a really cursory search on TLS will bring up the thread that shows the numbers of SAs at many big firms. It's the same school it's been with the same placement. (Relative to how legal hiring in general has gone.)

This. You can debate on and on whether its closer to Chicago, Columbia, or Penn in Biglaw placement/prestige placement etc. etc. but at the end of the day the differences shouldn't be making you concerned if you attended one over the other.

Any idea where to find this? Are there any numbers available pertaining to Vault placement #s/%s similar to what CLS and U of C published? Only thing I could find from search was the post that said "a shade less than 80% of those who participated got an offer." Would be really helpful to 0Ls interested in NYU to see some recent hard data on how things are going there.

You're going to need an NYU student to leak the data.
