Cell Phone Question

This may be stupid, but I'm buying a new cell phone this week, and I'm trying to decide between the Droid Razr Maxx, which has great battery, and anything else, because besides for the battery, I hate the Maxx.
Anyone, is great battery life important? Do law students need to use their cells often compared to the average college student? Is it likely that I would usually be near an outlet, anyway, so battery life would barely concern me?
Thanks!

There are outlets all over the place in law school.

I have a Droid 3, which doesn't have a wonderful battery, but I'm now in the habit of keeping my charger in my backpack, so I can charge it anywhere and anytime. Law school has outlets all over the place. So don't pick a phone just based on battery if you don't like the features, interface, size, etc.

Buy an extended battery.

Outlets are everywhere. Plus, you'll probably use your phone less as a law student, as you will have basically no life.

I rarely use my phone, because when I'm in school I'm in class or the library with my phone on silent. I encourage friends and family to email me, as I always have my computer. Thus, battery life isn't important to me. Plus, there are plenty of outlets usually.

Not commenting on the law student usage aspect of this situation, since I'm an 0L, but I will say that I have the Razr Maxx (also bought it just for the battery life) and I've come to love the phone. It's very responsive and the screen is good, and even with the larger battery than the regular Droid Razr it is one of the least clunky phones out there. Obviously I'm not telling you that you need to buy the Maxx, but I don't think you would be disappointed if you do.

The RAZR MAXX is a good cell phone. I personally use the Verizon's Samsung Galaxy Google Nexus. I've purchased an extra battery and out of the phone battery charger so I can charge my dead battery and keep a fully charged one in the phone with me. Usually my phone dies around 4 pm, depending on my usage, then I pop in the fully charged battery that lasts the rest of the day. I've done that with a few different Droid phones over the years. I chose the Nexus over the Maxx because of Ice Cream Sandwich software and the NFC chip inside. I love the Nexus!

Just do pre-paid and bring your own device, bro. Try straighttalk or myredpocket or one of the other dozen MVNO's out there that work on AT&T frequencies, you can use whatever phone you're using now.
