Top Law Schools

hi guys,

I've read about four chapters of getting to maybe and quite honestly, I feel a little lost... or should I say I find myself inferring or guessing what it's talking about sometimes because I have almost no basis on which law schools teach or the law itself.

any other kind of book or anything to orient myself with?

i thought "1L of a ride" was a decent quick overview of law school in general.

Everyone says this, but it seriously doesn't matter. Once you get to law school you'll be so tired of law school anyway, it's best not to burn out now.

If you have to read anything, read something about the social aspect, or watch The Paper Chase.

Everyone recommends Getting to Maybe but I thought it was uselessly basic.

You don't need to read anything to prepare and no book you read is going to prepare you. Enjoy your time before starting and get into good habits before school starts (eating well, exercising, time management, etc). That stuff is going to be more beneficial than any book.

^ I haven't read any personally, but I've heard that 1L of a Ride and Planet Law School cover that sort of thing. Or, as I said, The Paper Chase was accurate in helping me realize what (second semester) 1L would be like.
