I'm curious why you didn't look this up at the schools you're interested in.

Contracts
Torts
Criminal Law
Civil Procedure
Property
Legal Research and Writing

1L class requirements vary slightly from school to school. The websites for specific schools will likely have info on the 1L curriculum.

Here's Northwestern's: http://www.law.northwestern.edu/academi ... lplan.html
NYU: http://www.law.nyu.edu/academics/course ... /index.htm
Michigan: http://web.law.umich.edu/_ClassSchedule/CourseList.asp
etc.

It is usually at least:
Criminal
Torts
Property
Con Law
Contracts
LRW

After those courses, it can vary significantly among law schools. For example, some law schools add additional, non-traditional courses to 1L, like Legal Profession and Evidence. In sharp contrast, some law schools split up 1L courses so there are Torts 1 and 2, Property 1 and 2, and Contracts 1 and 2 (not to be confused with UCC Art.2). Other schools take an approach that is somewhat of a compromise of the other two options by adding more traditional courses to 1L, like Legislation or Sale of Goods (Contracts 2/UCC Art. 2).
