Was going to attend T2 on moderate scholarship, admitted to a T1 off of the waitlist (only T1 acceptance), transferred to T14.

Taking questions to kill some time.

Congrats! That's an amazing accomplishment. Did you start at the T1 school knowing you wanted to transfer?

Is this a real T14 or Gtown/UT? Top 15% sounds like you must have had something going for you to transfer up.

When I got into the T1 I was afraid I wouldn't be academically competitive. After first semester grades, however, I realized I had a chance at transfer and was set on trying.

I used fuzzy stats, It's not Georgetown/UT. I had an interesting job before law school, but nothing particularly special.

Edit:

Not sure if you were implying it, but I'm not a minority. In fact, I'm definitely the majority in law school.
