law school now or wait 3 years for the GI bill

I am an officer in the army. I have been accepted to some Tier 2 schools with scholly money. I want to live and practice in the Miami area. I've been accepted to UM (scholly 25k/yr-3.2 stip). I will stay with family and not have to pay for my COL. My wife will collect full GI bill benefits and I will get 40% and likely do national guard. My tuition is covered if I keep the scholly. I'm thinking of staying in the military either doing FLEP or getting out in 3 years with full GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon benefits. I would also retake the LSAT this year to try and score higher than my 161. I would start law school in 2015 at 29 with 150k in the bank and guaranteed tuition with the GI bill. This seems like a better option but would delaying law school hurt my future career? I also want to retake the LSAT because I feel I can def do better than 161. I have always wanted to go to law school but had a 4 yr service obligation because the Army paid for my undergrad. It sucks but waiting three years might be best? Any advice is appreciated.

Delaying won't hurt your career. Age doesn't matter, if anything you get more work experience + money.

Wait 3 years, retake. Good luck.

Fithed. Since you get free tuition and have a shot at getting into a better school (after a retake + more work experience) this is an easy decision.

Wait. I'm rocking the GI Bill and it's amazing. Spend some time working in your LSAT and enjoy your full ride to Michigan.

Don't waste it on A T2-4...

Edit: To be clear, I think you should go to Michigan... Or another T14.

You may want to check out the Yellow ribbon program. I'm getting additional funds along with the GI Bill and I only have 15 months left, I'm kicking myself for using the GI bill during undergrad instead of saving it all for Law School.

same here. Could have just taken out like 30k in debt for undergrad, instead I got a free bachelors, and now i'm looking at nearly 100k for law school. Didn't think I would be going to law school at the time.
