Good luck finding that out without having access to either gov't hiring matrices or a shit ton of data on how many people applied to bigfed and who got hired.

You'll never be able to find out how much of the difference in raw placement (if you can even find that data) is due to self selection.

Also this is probably the first case of unjustified ANTI Gtown trolling I've seen.

Nobody makes micro-distinctions like this, but especially not the government. For BIGFED, it's:

HYS
T14

My thoughts exactly. Why even consider the best school in DC if you want to have a career in the federal government?

I worked at a federal agency in DC. Saw HYS people in important policy positions, but never saw a Chicago or Columbia grad the whole time. Saw tons of Stanford grads---they descend on DC like an army of locusts every year. If any non-HYS school stands out from the rest of the T14, it's UVA.

Mistook the thread for being public-related Biglaw. For federal agencies I have no idea what I am talking about, but it seems like few from my class at Chicago are gunning for them-- I know one girl and she has had a heck of a time with great grades and a nice personality breaking through. Probably because Chicago's alumni are all at corporations or law firms.

Agreed about the GULC trolling. People always talk about Gtown's bigfed placement.
