I am a Florida Coastal one L. Do you have a serious question?

Had a friend tell me he is thinking about applying to this school next year. Would you recommend the school? How do job prospects look? What is the curve like there?

1. Yes, I was not aware when I entered though. Too late to turn back now, lol.

If you're taking out considerable loans, you could just drop out. I know that would take some serious pride swallowing, but it might be the best financial decision you ever make.

What do you have lined up for the summer?

The job prospects are pretty abysmal as a whole. I do know a 3L that is getting a 6 figure big firm job, but he worked very hard for it, so getting a good job is possible with extremely hard work. The curve is outrageous here, a majority of students have to get a 2.5 or less. That's the main downside to this school really. The top 25% of my school has a 3.0 GPA or higher. Whereas other schools, have a B- average. I would not recommend going here because of the curve, but other than that it's actually a great place.

It's too late for me to drop out now, I've taken two of my finals already. I want to ride it out and see what my GPA looks like when this is all over, and hopefully transfer.

I am totaly new to the law school lingo and I am a bit shocked about the curve. What does it mean when you guys say the curve is bad for Florida Coastal? I am planning to attend in Fall 2011.
