Top Law Schools

There's an old thread on here that's 55 pages long. Time for a new thread. So I am a Georgia boy who thinks he might like the California scene. I am going to go visit McGeorge sometime soon to check it out. It's not the best $$ offer I have. Does anyone know if asking for more $$ at McGeorge works?

I've also been accepted to McGeorge with a Dean's Scholarship. I decided to ask them for more money so I just sent an email to the admissions office and they said they would forward it to the correct people. I haven't heard back yet but it's only been a week and half. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

California is cool but I wouldn't really mistake McGeorge for the California scene, lol. I was an undergraduate at Pacific in Stockton and there is a far cry from what you probably expect the California scene to be and what things are like in NorCal. Not to knock NorCal - I love it. I'm just saying that NorCal is NorCarl and SoCal is SoCal. Also, I'd seriously consider the financial situation in California. Not that I know how things are down in Georgia either. But of all the kids I graduated with that stayed in California hardly any of them are meaningfully employed. The ones who are employed are working minimum wage jobs for the most part. It's part of the reason I didn't apply to McGeorge even though I loved my four years at Pacific. But everyone I know who goes there loves it so that says something.

Well, I have decided to go ahead and commit. Does anyone know anything about housing options? And what is there a roommate matching process for people looking for one?

You should be able to log into your insidepacific acct and find info on housing and roommate pairing. I'm heading up there for the april 8th legal scholar's day before I make a final decision. Congrats on the $$$ you received! Did it come with stipulations?

EDIT - NVM just read you were committed. Enjoy Sacramento. Make sure you withdraw from Mercer, free the spot up for someone else.

I did withdraw from all other schools. I did get more money, which made the decision much easier. And I will log in to inside pacific, as soon as I figure out how...

Sacramento =/= Stockton.
