I've seen a few stories about the crazy gunners at orientation, and think it's hilarious! Anyone have a funny one?

Ah man. that works pretty well, but I can't narrow it down to "only in title" so it's a bundle fuck of random threads. fuhhk

Well, until other threads specifically related to gunners at orientation are located, I want to hear some anecdotes.

I've witnessed a few people frantically taking notes while a professor is talking about attorney ethics or cracking a lame joke or something like that, with the intense fire that can only burn out once first semester grades come out. Also, certain gunners will raise their hands so much during orientation that professors will purposely not look int their direction anymore. Nothing specific though.

Some people actually read the cases for their practice admitted students classes. That counts as gunnerdom, right?

There was someone that constantly derided any social events or clubs because they were not going to be put on his diploma.

good! Doesn't sound like a guy you'd want to socialize with anyways.

Nothing outrageous, but, what I'm guessing, is your run of the mill excessive question asking, answering questions incorrectly and continuing to do so. Behavior also extended into blatant name dropping of prior places of employment and schools attended, kissing 2L ass, acting like a douche in general, signing up for every club offered. Oh, and they asked if the lucrative 1L summer associate positions were still available in front of the entire 1L class.

a student asked the following questions (when orientation was done for the day and everybody wanted to leave):

"I sometimes get confused if i type in my student id number or my first half of my email address."
"...."
"..."
"is there a question in there?"
"Yes. Please explain what to do."

"should I keep my books at home or in my locker?"

"my student aid money isn't in yet."

when a guy was talking about him helping lawyers/students who have stress problems:
"if your job is so important, why aren't you at work right now?"
"excuse me?"
"if your job is as important and busy with people calling as you say it is, how can you afford to take off time and not be at work helping people?"

teacher: "in this case, there is only one issue to be decided"
gunner: "I found six different issues."
teacher: "well at the very least, five are wrong because there is only one."

I do, but people from my school know who I am, so I will refrain. Or, you can call me IRL.

We had one who raised his hand to answer a True or False question relating to loans during the financial aid presentation. Instead of merely reading the question and answering "True" or "False," he proceeded to lecture the class on how loans can and cannot be discharged.
