Experiences with the Socratic Method at your school Forum

I had a professor in an undergrad criminal law class use this method from time to time in class. It isn't that bad as long as you read the material and you are secure with yourself. You are a student and sometimes you won't know the answer to the question the professor asks even if you have read the assigned material and asked questions about it, especially as a wide eyed 1L. You need to have thick enough skin to deal with looking like a fool sometimes. If you knew the answer to every question your professor asks then why bother going to class?
