I'm starting Pitt Law in the fall and i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to live. I'm visiting in march to start the apartment hunt so any advice would be great.
I do have a small dog that i would like to take with me
Thanks in advance

Are you going to the open house on the 26th?
While I'm not set on Pitt, I would also like to know if anyone knows of good pet-friendly buildings in the area.

Well if you've never been, I've heard amazing things about The O:

You should make a stop.

You'll probably want to live in Shadyside. It's only a couple minutes from the school, and it's a pretty nice area with some good bars and restaurants and lots of young people.

The "O" is the most vile, god-awful, disgusting building I have ever been in. Not just a gross place to eat, but a shamefully putrid building. Oakland is an awesome place with tons of terrific eateries, but the smell of the "O" haunts me to this day.OGR3 wrote:Well if you've never been, I've heard amazing things about The O:

Some great places to eat near the school are Fuel and Fuddle, Campus Deli, The Union Grille (on Craig St), and Mad Mex (not your typical mexican joint, a true local fav). Outside of Oakland, but in Pittsburgh, are Fatheads (south side) and Church Brewworks (strip district); both are worth seeking out.
I don't think you'll have much trouble finding a pet friendly place to live, there is a lot of housing within a short bus ride to Pitt.
