this is the first of several planned posts breaking down the results of our c/o 2017 thread poll
altogether, 123 1Ls took the poll, from across the country, in schools of every caliber, using a broad range of prep strategies

first, what kind of schools do tls c/o 2017ers go to?

Image

the vast majority of people in our 2017 thread go to t14s or strong regional schools. just over half go to t14s.

so what were our expectations grade-wise?

at the beginning of the semester:

and during finals:

how did we actually do? pretty good!

broken down by school type:

strong regional full breakdown:

t14 full breakdown:

who evaded median-pwnage?

t14:

a few weeks before finals, we ran a poll about supplement usage:

Image

did the number of supplements used have any effect? (please look at axis, i adjusted it to show detail)

Image

how about the number of study hours put in? did that have any effect?

Image

one thing i noticed going through the data was – not many people went to office hours
one of the least used methods of exam prep
except for one group...

more to come

Interesting correlation re: hours.

Obviously this was a self selecting group to begin with, so the overall grade quality doesn't surprise me.

This is cool. I do think TLSers perform above average. But don't you think there may be a selective reporting issue? Low scorers aren't as likely to participate or record their results.
