Starting the thread for the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law Class of 2017.

Attending Admitted Student's events next Thursday and Friday.

I'm an ASU grad, and I'm excited to be remaining in the sunshine while a lot of the country remains in snow and freezing temperatures.

I'll be there Friday

Although ASD was underwhelming (especially for someone undecided)- ASU still seems like a great place to go to law school. Current students couldn't speak highly enough about their time at ASU. Excited to be joining the ASU law community.

Anyone negotiated their scholarship?

Checking in...accepted last week. What does everyone think of the area and campus? I haven't made the trip there yet but still plan to attend based on their program alone.

I was at the WelcomePAS and I took pictures if you wanna see them I can upload them and send you a link! It was pretty cool, current students had a lot to rave about at the school!

I officially deposited today! Yay!

ASU also moved up 7 spots in the ATL rankings that were released today (for whatever rankings are worth)

Any word on a facebook group for admitted students?

The financial aid office gave me an offer that I couldn't refuse despite being accepted by higher-ranked schools. I can't wait to meet you all in the fall!

Krispy,

There is no required second deposit to attend ASU Law. They merely require a letter of intent to be submitted at the end of May. They will email us sometime in the upcoming weeks concerning how and when to submit this letter.

For those asking, the Financial Aid and Admissions office created a Facebook group for the Class of 2017. You may have to ask to be included.

Deposited two days ago. Officially coming in the Fall

Hey guys! I've heard of someone getting an agreement on their scholarship that if they were rejected for AZ residency their second and third years, they would only have to pay in-state tuition. I don't remember where I saw this. Does anyone know how to get this or have heard of this?

Yeah I negotiated something like this last year.

Should come up on MyASU eventually. Look in the blackboard as well.

I was thinking the same thing. It says on the Blackboard site that information will be emailed in late July regarding registration. So for now, I guess just make sure your immunizations are up to date and on file at the health office, funds are accepted and ready to be disbursed, living situation is squared away, etc. On the ASU Law Class of 2017 Facebook page, it says orientation is set for Friday, August 15th-Wednesday, August 20th. If I don't get information about registration/books by the week of July 28, I definitely plan on shooting them an email.

I visited the campus today and attended Law Day. It was really cool. I really liked the campus and the people. They all seemed so warm and friendly. I also liked the faculty's motto and mission of "We really are here for our students." It made me feel really good.
Is that what the experience is really like?
