I've got some UT love!
Not sure if I'm attending yet, but it's in my top 3

I'm hoping there is a big scholarship waiting for me in the mail...
Are you going to the law preview day? Luckily I can combine it with a visit to UK Law the day after.

I visited as well on Friday. I wasn't overly impressed. They didn't really sell the school at all, and I was a bit shocked that I was the only one from above the Mason Dixon line to visit. I felt very out of place being there. Lovely building and faculty though.

I'm sorry you felt that way! UT is very dominated by Southerners. I kind of appreciated the fact that they didn't oversell the school though...I got that at IU and it was a total turn off. Just my personal opinion.

I reckon a southern regional would be dominated us southerners.

I hope you find the school for you. It's an important choice. Good luck!

Hello All: I was in Knoxville last week for a death in the family. I went to downtown Knoxville and said heck, why not stop by the law school. Surprisingly there was an open house for undergrads and I found my way through campus (in the pouring rain!). Anyways, I loved the campus, the area, and resources... I've been looking more into the university and have put serious thought about applying-- despite being so late... stats are 155/3.6 strong softs-- former collegiate football player (looking to get into sport and entertainment law) and Non-URM.
With my numbers, is it worth sending in an application this late in the cycle? I understand that UT's deadline isn't until August, but I figured it would be nice to get some opinions here... thank you
SN- I posted this in another discussion, but appreciate your opinons as well!! Thank you

Are you a a TN resident? It's very very late in the cycle to be applying. I know that you probably don't want to hear it, but if you just study a wee bit more and get up to a 157-159 you'll have a great shot to get in next cycle.

It all really depends I suppose. I don't think it would hurt to throw in an application, it seems like they are really low on applications this year. I had a lower LSAT than you and a higher GPA and was admitted, but I applied in late October. Being a TN resident will help tremendously.
