The employers have been notified. Prepare for the DROVES at OCI.njdevils2626 wrote:W&M just got a huge boost in the rankings, up 9 spots to #24! That's massive!
I believe you get access to the FB group when you put in your seat deposit and get your WM email account.cberg wrote:Anyone know of a FB group or other social networking opportunity for the ℅ 2017? I'm at about 99% now, just want to wait until after ASW before putting down a seat deposit.
That's the same boat I am in. Technically GW could still give me a scholarship(probably by tomorrow...and if not I could still request, but the likelihood goes down). I'd love that..but it probably won't happen. I'm seeing W&M tomorrow..hope I love it!inyoureyes89 wrote:I was seriously considering GW, but it's just too much $$$. W+M has given me a decent scholarship, and it's a great school.... I still have some time to consider it, but it's looking better and better! What are people doing for housing? Also, do most students have cars?
I believe it has SOME portability into DC, though probably not something you should count on. Though that is an important factor for me too.Marquis wrote:W&M is for sure in my top 2. Right now it's simply a question of scholarship offers and total COA. Where are people ITT hoping to practice? Is the consensus that W&M is mid-atlantic or bust or does it have some portability into, say, DC and/or New England?
I'm going to visit the campus in April. The photos look quite stunning. The Dark Shepard wrote:I believe it has SOME portability into DC, though probably not something you should count on. I'm hoping to do PI/Government, which this school has a better LST score with than my other top school(though part of this is inflated due to law school funded positions..I wish we had numbers about how these people did a year after the fact(when their fellowships ended). I could see it going either way...
Anyways, I just visited Friday. Beautiful school.
Hey there. I posted in the W&M applicants thread about this. I tried to negotiate with them for more merit aid and I got the exact same response. That I am the list for further consideration as more money becomes available. I know their deposit deadline is May 1st so maybe, for them, it's still too early in the cycle?awoodard wrote:Considering W&M alongside some other schools. I'd be paying sticker at my other 2 choices, and W&M has given me a decent scholarship, so I'll most likely be in Williamsburg next fall!
Has anyone had luck negotiating aid? I sent an email to one of the deans, and received a polite but disappointing response that I was "under consideration" if more money becomes available.
The campus is stunning. The surrounding area is historic. Great access to VA Beach, York and James River and beaches along the Colonial Parkway, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA just outside of town. Amtrak train access from city to East Coast. Fare only $64 one way advance to NYC. Idyllic. Very safe. CIA installation just outside of city. High Governmental security due to visits from international diplomats and us Presidents.Marquis wrote:I'm going to visit the campus in April. I'm battling the same decision. I just visited both schools so PM mewsucougars2014 wrote:Hey everyone,
I am currently struggling to make the decision between Wake Forest Law and William and Mary Law. Since I am across the country I am not able to travel and visit these colleges and would greatly appreciate any advice about these two law schools, pros and cons. For me they are financially equal, have great programs and I am flexible to living in small town or city. Any information would help. THANKS!
