2 and a half months since interview

I interviewed with a judge mid/ end of May, still no word. Did I just not get the position? Has anyone else waited this long and did get the position? (Or even got a rejection this late?)
In the interview, the judge did say it was really early on in the process and it could be a while
I shouldn’t call/ email chambers for an update either right?

Depends entirely on the judge

I agree the with previous commenter that it depends on the judge. I received an offer from my appellate judge about 6 weeks after a lengthy in-person interview. I had started to give up hope before receiving the call. So I wouldn’t presume anything at this point, even though 2.5 months is a long time.

OP here. So it is the consensus I should not reach out to chambers? I’m just so curious if they hired someone and just haven’t told the rejected yet or filled the position on Oscar. It’s killing me

I'm in the same boat—interviewed in late-May and haven't heard back.
I wouldn't contact them. I've read advice from a few clerks about this situation, and the unanimous opinion is that reaching out can only be a negative because chambers knows you're still interested (i.e., affirming your interest isn't going to shift the needle in your favor), but can certainly come off poorly. I empathize with the frustration of being in limbo; it sucks, but that's the game.

Op here- you’re right, thanks for the feedback and sorry you’re also in the limbo boat! Do you feel like there’s still a chance for you? It’s weird to me to think that they would’ve have hired someone already but who knows I guess
