Preferably in a D. Ct. in the Fifth Circuit. Will have a few years of V10 BigLaw lit experience.

Yes, particularly if the CCN is Chicago. You might have to get deep into flyover country, though. There are plenty of people who want to work in Texas and the triangle is not flyover country in any meaningful sense.

Yes, though in flyover country, a lot of judges want very strong ties (i.e. growing up in or practicing in the same state). Random HLS median students will not ordinarily get D. Montana. Also agree that the Texas districts are not really flyover for this purpose except for maybe some of the judges in more obscure duty stations.

You need ties and/or a hook. A few years of BL lit experience is very desirable.
