Any litigation boutiques offer case-by-case full remote?

Currently a COA clerk who needs to move to another state for a year beginning in October to accommodate my spouse’s fellowship year. We are intending to move back to NY/DC after that year. Does anyone know of any “elite”/generally higher level boutiques that might be willing to take me on if they knew the mostly remote thing would be temporary?
For context, I summered at one of Susman/Kellogg/Bartlit/Keker but don’t have an interest in returning to my prior firm and I don’t think they’d go for the remote arrangement anyway.

Quinn would for sure. (You can decide for yourself if you think they are elite or not).

I’ve been going back and forth on QE, I’m hoping there’s another option because I feel like I haven’t heard good things about culture and I don’t like the “most feared” thing.

Don't do it. I too have compelling reasons to work remotely and decided against Quinn based on what I heard.

I know Keker has allowed this for some associates, but I think those associates were already at the firm when life events took them elsewhere.

Are you conservative? I believe one or two of the leading conservative lit boutiques allow you to work remotely.

Consovoy for sure, Lehotsky doesn't seem particularly focused in one location either

Consovoy is a primarily remote firm, it only has office space in Arlington because it has a number of attorneys in DC. It used to also list a New York “office” that was just Judge Park—who really lived in Iowa for his wife’s job. I think Lehotsky is similar—see its one-lawyer Atlanta, Denver, and Oklahoma City “offices,” and a physical address only listed for a WeWork in DC.

OP here - that’s a great set up but not conservative (resume reads very liberal, they’d probably toss it upon sight).

Not a litigation boutique, but I've heard that Orrick's Supreme Court and Appellate practice group is very, very remote friendly.

There are quite a few people on these forums that have had serious concerns about Roberta Kaplan, I'd recommend asking around a bit before committing there.

There are quite a few people on these forums that have had serious concerns about Roberta Kaplan, I'd recommend asking around a bit before committing there.
Just start with searching this forum. A lot of people have offered warnings about the culture of the firm.

For Quinn, do you still apply to a specific office? If so, can you change offices once you get an offer (to avoid taking another bar exam)?

Can you provide any more details about WLB at Orrick's appeals group? How does it compare to other BigLaw appellate groups?

Also curious. "Excellent" relative to what? Other Big Law appeals work? Boutiques? Or do you mean the quality of the lawyers working in the group?

What is life like for young attorneys at these firms? I cannot imagine starting a career somewhere fully remote.
