Re: 2022-2023 Post-Clerkship Hiring
In NYC, Selendy, Holwell, MoloLamken, and Morvillo are all interviewing. Hueston just opened their new NYC office and has been interviewing. I heard Lankler may be interviewing or be gearing up to start soon.
In DC, Wilkinson is interviewing.
In SF, Keker is interviewing.
Any news on Wachtell?

So for those of us with average stats (i.e., middle of the road grades in low t14/t20) at district court... should we be worried if no progress has been made on any of our applications at this point?
Basically what is everyone's plans if they have nothing materialized by mid-march? just wait for someone to hopefully call before august comes around?

Re: 2022-2023 Post-Clerkship Hiring
I am in this boat. I took my clerkship because I didn't want to go back to my firm because of compensation (165K with no bonus for all associates regardless of level). Now I regret taking the clerkship because I got paid almost no money and am going back to the firm. I have hope that something will materialize but I have been networking since last August and haven't seen any movement. Almost every firm I talk to says that they don't know what their hiring capacity is or they outright reject me. Disheartening.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 10:58 amSo for those of us with average stats (i.e., middle of the road grades in low t14/t20) at district court... should we be worried if no progress has been made on any of our applications at this point?

This depends on what market you're targeting. In major markets, mid-march might seem late, but I think lots of places outside of NYC/DC/etc. ramp up their clerk recruiting a bit later. So if you're like a lot of people in this thread that have been locked into major markets, maybe mid-March is when you broaden your search to target either smaller firms or different markets that haven't wrapped up their hiring yetAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 10:58 amSo for those of us with average stats (i.e., middle of the road grades in low t14/t20) at district court... should we be worried if no progress has been made on any of our applications at this point?

Sidley DC recruiter told me they won’t be looking at post-clerkship applicants until March at the earliest.

Congrats on getting an interview invite! I didn't even get one. I assumed (incorrectly) that they were just not looking at applications yet. Womp!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 2:48 pmany idea on the timeline to expect an offer/rejection from mayer brown post interview?

Cravath, S&C, Quinn, Ropes, DPW have all made offers in NYC. Not sure if still interviewing, but there has been movement at all.
