Hi - does anyone know any CA2 or CA3 District or Circuit Court Judges who hire off-plan? I'd prefer a district court clerkship but I know it's generally CoA judges that hire off-plan.
Also, what grades are necessary from NYU/Columbia/Penn for such a clerkship, especially off plan? Thanks!

What does off plan mean to you? Are you asking about early hiring conservatives?

Yes. Judges that hire post 1Ls / rising 2Ls.

Circuit—Menashi, Park, Hardiman, Phipps, Porter, Matey, Bibas. Some of those, like Bibas and Park, also hire some on-plan.

Thanks! Do any district judges hire off plan - particularly in DNJ, EDNY, or SDNY? Also, what grades are needed for those judges?

Park and Bibas are among the most selective off-plan judges, Porter is not particularly competitive, the others are in between from my understanding. Menashi is very ideology-sensitive in hiring but not always the most grade-selective. For DJs Kovner and Komitee may hire some off-plan but idk for sure; I believe than Cronan is on-plan.
