Eligible for unemployment?

Post by ughbugchugplug » Mon Jul 26, 2021 12:18 pm

Anyone know the answer to this? I have a job lined up for after my clerkship but there’s going to be a gap of a few weeks. Can I get unemployment in between even though I have a job lined up? I don’t want to commit fraud but I don’t want to leave money on the table…

Absolutely not. Unemployment is for when you are fired from a job. Not when you have a short gap between a job with a fixed end date and another job.
