Asking government appointee for rec letter?

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jun 15, 2021 6:45 pm

One of the professors I was hoping to ask for a letter of recommendation has since joined the Biden administration. I plan on applying next year, but would it be frowned upon if I were to ask him for a letter?

Good to hear--I have zero visibility into this process and there seems to be so many unsaid norms, want to be sure this would be fine.
