Movement

Yesterday, the plan opened for all current 2Ls. Anyone hear of or know of any movement since then? I imagine there’s been lots.

There was movement yesterday and this morning, but the vast majority of judges will wait.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 9:26 amMy T14 (MVPD) saw very little movement yesterday from what I've heard, even among applicants who are definitely competitive. Which makes me think most judges who bothered to wait until the plan opened are also waiting until the actual noon start time for contacting applicants. I could just be OOTL though.
Also at MVPD and there was definitely movement yesterday and early this morning for top applicants.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 9:26 amMy T14 (MVPD) saw very little movement yesterday from what I've heard, even among applicants who are definitely competitive. The people who would be updating are furiously scheduling/doing interviews.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 12:44 pmI sort of expected this board to explode with updates just after noon. Any reason why that's not happening?
I interviewed with her in a previous cycle - I think she always acts really quickly.

The fact that we have to somehow set apart MVPD from other, similarly ranked schools (like CCN) is hilarious. As if law students and lawyers couldn't find any more excuses to gatekeep. This is coming from someone who graduated in the CCN.MarkmanPapers wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 8:21 pmMichiganwaywardstudent wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 7:08 pmI’ve heard nothing. Virginia
Penn
Duke
Basically, the T7-10 range.
If this gets any worse we will end up with people referring to schools by their actual names!!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 8:38 pmThe fact that we have to somehow set apart MVPD from other, similarly ranked schools (like CCN) is hilarious. It’s especially funny because last year Duke was behind NU (and due to over-enrollment probably will be next year too).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 8:38 pmThe fact that we have to somehow set apart MVPD from other, similarly ranked schools (like CCN) is hilarious. I have above a 3.8 at CLS and most of my classes were "real" black letters. Recommenders I know pretty well who made calls. Applied to lots of non-NY judges. Nothing. Really curious if this is happening to others.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 12:57 pmAt CLS know a bunch of people hearing nothing from NY judges even with great #s.
Rough few days for CLS. First, we continue to woefully underperform at clerkships, and then the head of career services leaves for Fordham a month before EIP.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 1:19 pmI have above a 3.8 at CLS and most of my classes were "real" black letters. CLS grad. anon. had 4 interviews last cycle as a 2L. Nothing so far. I too am disappointed with the lack of institutional support.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 1:36 pmRough few days for CLS. Another grad here. OJC has been so bad, ranging from just not good advice to actively wrong information. The office is deliberately opaque and extremely unhelpful. They need a complete overhaul.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 1:43 pmCLS grad. anon. had 4 interviews last cycle as a 2L. Nothing so far. I can't tell whether I was given bad advice about being a competitive candidate or if I'm just really underperforming.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 1:43 pmCLS grad. anon. had 4 interviews last cycle as a 2L. I was a transfer this year fortunate enough to pick up a very good recommender this year, but my grades are nothing special in general for CLS despite very good 1L-school grades. I was told to not apply to certain judges by OJC basically might piss off this recommender because my grades weren't good enough. Is this...normal?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 1:49 pmAnother grad here. OJC has been so bad, ranging from just not good advice to actively wrong information.
