I have an interview for an ALJ clerkship and was wondering if anyone on TLS can speak to how an ALJ clerkship is looked upon by prospective employers. I'd like to practice this particular type of law for my career but I am worried that if I get the clerkship and I lack exit options it will be harder to transition to general lit firms.
Background info: Recent grad from TTT school (top of class), have state trial court clerkship lined up, but ALJ pay is significantly better (~$20k)
