Post-clerkship decision input

Fed district court clerkship ends late summer. Should I take offer with trial boutique or with restructuring group in firm with national footprint? Passion is the former, but instincts (in light of current events) are the latter.
Question, I guess, may be how deep our recession is and will be. Appreciate thoughts and suggestions!

Assuming the trial boutique is in solid enough financial shape, do what you like. You've got a long career ahead of you.

Agreed. If it's one of the top lit shops, I imagine they'll actually be okay (no big corporate side that's dead weighing them down). It it's a tiny new place that's not established at all, maybe think twice but I'd still go with your gut unless there's something setting off alarms for that firm.
