You best bet is probably looking for recent Trump appointees. Most of the other judges are probably hired out through 2020. The time to apply really would have been last year... or the year before that...

There will still be a lot of competition for those new judges. There are plenty of 3L's from the T14 that are going to be applying to those same positions in the next month or two. I think you still have a shot of getting something (particularly if you are willing to work in a District Court in a flyover State), but I would get out those applications ASAP.

At this point, I wouldn't be pushing very hard for a 2020 clerkship. Although somewhat inconvenient, you're much better off focusing your energy on 2021. A lot of judges like clerks to have some work experience any way, so that'll boost your odds.
